True to his word, Santa arrived at the Library in some very special wheels last night.
Santa had a very fancy set-up especially decorated by children from our local schools and they did a fabulous job.
Did you shop local?
That was the main message traders sent last night as they remained open until 7:30 pm.
In small communities, it makes THE difference to local traders and their businesses.
And we all know, late night shopping is one of the greatest times to actually enjoy shopping. And shopping on retail strips is by far more enjoyable.
The offering is huge in our towns, locals can do most – if not all of their Christmas shopping locally.
Shopping local also contains a huge connectivity factor – the more connected locals and businesses are, the happier the community.
The event sends a strong message for residents to ‘think local’. And this should really be a message that remains top of mind at all times, not just Christmas.
Staying open again this Friday
This coming Friday 20th, traders from Point Lonsdale through Hesse Street and to the Harbour will once again remain open.
Hesse Street has welcomed some amazing new traders to the street – combine these stores with our existing retailers and you can find something for everyone.
